Our Top Christmas TV Adverts From 2015

We’ve rounded up all the UK Christmas adverts from last year, bundled them in Rudolph’s pen and picked our favourites. Grab yourself a mulled wine and (a little dry) mince pie and take a look below at our top Christmas adverts of 2015.

1) Sainsburys Mog’s Christmas Calamity
We can’t help but love how Mog not only causes chaos but reminds us all that Christmas is a time for helping each other out. Working with illustrator Judith Kerr, Sainsburys wanted to share a Christmas story which sees family and friends coming together.

2) John Lewis #ManOnTheMoon
Did you have your tissue ready when you saw John Lewis’ latest Christmas advert? Pulling at everyone’s heart strings, the Man on the Moon helped to raise awareness for those who were spending Christmas on their own.  See more at John Lewis.

3) Aldi Telescope Advert
Christmas is also about fun and laughter so when Aldi released a spoof Christmas advert, parodying this year’s John Lewis #ManOnTheMoon ad this brought even more tears to our eyes…but in a good way. Comparing telescope prices, Aldi’s tongue-in-cheek could have put them on Santa’s naughty list, however even Santa has a sense of humor!

4) Lidl School of Christmas
Lidl kicked off last years festivities by teaching us how things “should” be done, this included cooking the turkey to having a better reaction to a bad gift. If like us you can relate to certain parts of the ad (we can never untangle lights!) we can guarantee you don’t forget this one in a hurry.

5) Very The Christmas Journey
We’re not sure about you, but Very’s opening scene to its Christmas advert made us all gooey inside. The ad shows presents whipping their way round to their festive homes where carolers are singing and decorations are hung.  See more at Very.co.uk

6) Boots Discover more
With even more jollyness and sparkle than ever before, Boots offered us a glimpse into it’s Christmas store and with Jessie J singing the Xmas song what more could you want?  See more at Boots.com

7) Asda #BecauseItsChristmas
Featuring one of 2015 biggest songs of the year – Sax by Fleur East, Asda went all out to show you how people around the country will celebrate Christmas. From watching Christmas movies over and over again to the smooch at the office party, Asda took every tradition and put a modern fun twist on it.

8) Aldi AldiFavouriteThings
As you already know Aldi is famous for its ‘I also like this one’ adverts where they compare big brands to the Aldi range and its Christmas advert was full of favourites from the year.

9) Sky Movies
Sky Movies puts the brussel sprout to good use in this fun action packed advert which sees a young girl finding great ways to get rid of her left over sprouts!

10) Marks & Spencers #TheArtOfChristmas
For us this was not one of M&S better Christmas adverts as it focused more on products than the warmth of Christmas.  See more at MarksandSpencer.com

11) Debenhams #FoundIt
Focusing on products however the Debenhams ad did have sparkle, Xmas jumpers and the happiness of receiving a lovely gift you really did want.  See more at Debenhams.com

12) Vodafone #TeryTheTurkey
This ad brought a huge smile to our faces, as Vodafone raises awareness to an Alternative (meat free) Christmas day dinner, we loved how Terry the Turkey took center stage at the head of the table.  See more from Vodafone.co.uk

13) Anchor Little Elephant
One of the most relatable adverts for parents up and down the United Kingdom, Anchors ad made many of us giggle for hours on end as that one “annoying” gift gets played with over and over…and over again.

14) Irn-Bru The Jumper
Scotland’s number one fizzy drink to help you get through awkward situations will make you laugh and slightly cringe at the same time.

15) Waitrose #MakesChristmas
Full of festive delights, Waitrose puts together all of its tastie treats for the festive season for you to ogle over.  See more at Waitrose.com
