The former wife of Elvis Presley and world-renowned actress Priscilla Presley will be starring in Milton Keynes Christmas panto, Aladdin, starring as Genie of the Lamp.
Oh no she isn’t…Oh yes she is!
The actress who starred along side Leslie Nielsen and played Jenna Wade in Dallas, said pantomime is one of the ‘most fulfilling experiences of my life.’
She said: “My grandchildren absolutely love seeing me on stage and I can’t wait to get in front of a live audience again. It’s such a wonderful honour to be spending Christmas here and being part of this very special British festive tradition.”
The festive season is important for Priscilla as she was proposed to by Elvis shortly before Christmas in 1966 and married the rock star at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas in 1967.
“I’m set to come over to England in the middle of November – I love Christmas in England, the stores go all out with their decorations they really embrace it.
“Once we get going though we will be performing twice daily, the adrenaline and nerves get quite intense on the opening night but I love the process.”
Joining Priscilla is comedian Gary Wilmot as the Chinese Laundry owner, Widow Twankey, Wayne Sleep OBE as Aladdin’s wayward brother, Wishee-Washee, ex A1 boyband member Ben Adams who will taking on the lead role as Aladdin himself.
