Santa Claus Is Coming To Town!

Yes, really! Santa Claus is set to make an early appearance in Wirral in a bid to improve it’s festive reputation after the town’s Christmas Tree was deemed one of Britain’s worst in 2014.

On Wednesday, 29th April, the people of Liscard can expect to find snow, a 30 ft Christmas tree, reindeer and even Santa Claus himself – it’s almost like spending a day at the UTCT offices!

Now we’re not sure how the organizers were able to convince Santa Claus to leave the North Pole so long before Christmas, but he must have heard that the town was in desperate need of some Christmas cheer – you lucky lot!

The event is being organized by Danny Mcleod, Argyle Taxis after he decided something needed to be done to bring the town’s Christmas tree back to life.

He said: “Argyle Taxis have been a major part of the Wallasey community for a long time, and as such we wanted to help by giving something back to the people of Wallasey, the people who have helped us become the company we are today.”

The aim of the event is to attract local businesses who could donate in order to make Liscard sparkle over Christmas in 2015.

If only John would give us some time off to let us attend… (feel free to leave your messages of support in the comments below!)

Will you be attending?
