Strictly Come Dancing made an epic return to our screens over the weekend with 10 million viewers tuning in to see the Celebrities dance their way to the title. It seems as though Sir Bruce Forsyth is desperate to get his dancing shoes back on as he reportedly vows to return for Strictly’s Christmas Day special.
Sir Bruce Forsyth has recently undergone surgery to repair a swollen heart artery and is recovering according to a ‘friend’ who said to the Daily Mirror:
“He’s been resting, but it was major surgery and it hasn’t been as easy as people might have
hoped – but he’s a very determined man.”
We know how determined he can be which is why we’re not shocked to hear that he reportedly hopes to return for the Christmas special which will be aired on Christmas Day.
A BBC insider said;-
“Obviously Bruce has been taking time out to recover from his op. Nobody would want to push him into it if he doesn’t feel he’s up to it, but he’s an icon and a big part of the show. We’ll start having those discussions with him a bit later in the year”.
The 88 year old is certainly a national treasure who would be welcomed with festive open arms should he return to Strictly Come Dancing’s Christmas special.
We wish you a speedy recovery, Sir Bruce!
