Christmas 2021 TV has landed…
Following the announcement that Sky and NOW TV will bring a whopping 125 new and exclusive Sky Original TV shows and films this year, we couldn’t wait to hear just which Christmas specials we could look forward to and boy have they not disappointed, Matt Haig’s bestselling novel – A Boy Called Christmas will be released this festive season in cinemas AND on Sky Cinema!
Based on the book, the film will tell the story of a young boy called Nikolas who sets out on an adventure into the snowy north in search of his father who is on a quest to discover the fabled village of the elves, Elfhelm. Taking with him Blitzen and his loyal pet mouse, Nikolas soon meets his destiny in this magical, comic and endearing story that proves nothing is impossible…
Now if the story itself wasn’t enough to get your TV planners at the ready, then the stellar cast certainly will, with an all-star cast including Maggie Smith, Toby Jones, Stephen Merchant and Jim Broadbent (just to name a few!) all landing roles in the magical film.
Sarah Wright, Director of Sky Cinema and Acquisitions at Sky UK & Ireland, comments: “A Boy Called Christmas is the perfect gift for Sky Cinema customers and cinemagoers this Christmas. I cannot wait to share this extraordinary film featuring the best of British talent, as we hope to celebrate Christmas together with all the family this year.”
A Boy Called Christmas will be available to watch on Sky Cinema and in cinemas across the UK & Ireland from 26 November, we literally can’t wait!
