For those who haven’t yet heard of ‘Stick Man’, it’s a witty and emotional story from Julia Donaldson that will have young children asking to hear it again and again.
This Christmas, Julia Donaldson’s book is to be turned into a half hour animated film which will be shown on BBC 1 over the Christmas period.
Told in rhyming text, the film will follow Stick Man’s adventures, as he is mistaken for an ordinary stick and finds himself further and further from his family tree – how will he find his way back home?
“Stick Man lives in the family tree with his Stick Lady Love and their stick children three.” But it’s dangerous being a Stick Man. A dog wants to play with him, a swan builds her nest with him. He even ends up on a fire! Will he ever get back to the family tree?
An engaging stick character’s adventures told in strong rhyming text, Stick Man has a Christmas twist at the end that preschool children will love.
