The holidays’s are upon us and that  means a whole new batch of exciting Summer movies you should go and see at the cinema.

Will Hercules smash the box office or will Pudsey The Dog dance his way to the top? Either way it’s time for you to grab those munchies, get comfy (as much as you can) and take a look at our top summer movies of 2014.

1. Guardians of the Galaxy (1 Aug)

Set to be one of this years hottest movies, Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy sees a pilot named Peter Quill the object of a manhunt. After stealing an orb from the evil villainous Ronan, will Peter survive? Starring Chris Pratt as Peter.

2. Transformers: Age Of Extinction (July 10)
Transformers are back with a brand new cast. Starring Jack Reynor, Nichola Peltz and Mark Wahlberg as the action-man father, you can expect to see old favourite’s and new robots!

3. How To Train Your Dragon 2 (Jul 11)

Hiccup and Toothless are back, however this time around they find themselves in an ice cave full of wild dragons and mystery trying to to battle for peace. Fun family favourite, the only downside, it’s likely you will end up going to see it at least 4 times!

4. The Expendables 3 (Aug 15)
All action hero’s together again, The Expendables 3 has  some of the best known actors on the block and they have now added a host of names to the list including Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford and Kellan Lutz.

5. Hercules (July 25)
Looking buffer than ever, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson takes on the role of Hercules, however with seriously ugly looking CGI monsters, even his muscles may not be tough enough to defeat!

6. The Nut Job (Aug 1)
Kids will love this light hearted family movie. Set in 1959, the animated high pitched voices give off a Looney tune feel. Starring Will Arnett, Brendan Fraser and more well known names, The Nut Job 2 is already lined for 2016 – so you can expect this to be a massive hit.

7. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (Aug 29)
Blood, guns and the mafia, what more could an action film want?! Jessica Alba returns as the vengeful exotic dancer, as do some of the orginal cast including Bruce Willis. Excitement and a star studded cast make this a great choice for adults however it is in black and white.

8. Pudsey The Dog: The Movie (July 18)

Britain’s Got Talent winner – Pudsey has his own film and yes it will feature him hot stepping Morris dancers and even rubbing shoulders with Olivia Colman. Parents will be able to take the kids to see this one and guarantee a few laughs.

9. Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes (July 17)
This sequel stars Andy Serkis, best known for his role as Gollum, who as the leader of the Apes, battles it out to determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

10. Tammy (July 4)
The perfect comedy for a girls day out, Tammy, which starts Melissa McCarthy, best known for her role in Bridesmaids, heads out on a funny road trip to Niagara Falls with her alcoholic Grandmother Susan. If the trailer is anything to go by this is going to be hillarious.
