The Royal Albert Hall reveals FULL 2018 Christmas line-up

London’s Royal Albert Hall has today announced its FULL 2018 Christmas line-up. Welcoming carolers, composers, musicians, TV comedians and even Father Christmas himself to the magical building for a festive party like no other.

A Christmas line-up on an epic scale!

For more than 145 years, The Royal Albert Hall has played a crucial part in the country’s Christmas celebrations and this year will be no different.

Lucy Noble, Artistic Director at the Royal Albert Hall, said “This year’s Christmas season is about opening our home to everybody: we can’t wait to invite people of all ages and backgrounds to come and celebrate Christmas with us.”

Inviting people of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate the holiday season, the Hall will play host to stunning new shows. Highlights from the season include: new Christmas compositions from David Arnold (Sherlock, James Bond) and John Rutter which will reach out to those who feel lonely and isolated at Christmas. Guy Barker’s Big Band Christmas, Home Alone in Concert, A Hollywood Christmas: a glittering, all-new show featuring tunes from beloved films such as A Christmas Carol plus a huge selection of Traditional Carols.

We’re already getting the calendar out.

For families who want to feel the magic of Christmas, The Hall has got some serious spectacular shows at the ready including The Snowman™ and Paddington Bear™ – live in concert which celebrates 40 years of Raymond Briggs’ picture book, My Christmas Orchestral Adventure where families can take part by singing and dancing to help the conductor get Santa’s map to him ahead of the Big Delivery on Christmas Eve PLUS The Hall’s magical Father Christmas adventure also returns, after selling all 2,360 spots in 2017.

There will be a special Relaxed Performance of The Snowman™ and Paddington Bear™ on 20th December especially for people with autism, sensory and communication impairments and learning disabilities as well as individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or partially sighted.

AND to get us even more excited, Birmingham’s Royal Ballet will return with their critically-acclaimed production of The Nutcracker.
