VTech Innotab 2 Baby

Vtech Innotab 2 Baby – The ultimate tablet for babies age 1 and older features:

  • 5 Inch Coloured Touch screen
  • Revolving Camera
  • Learning Apps
  • Suitable From Age 1 Year
  • Available At Amazon UK

Designed with children as young as 1 year in mind it was showcased at this year’s Toy Fair, the new hi–tech tablet for babies will be priced around £84.99 and will be released in time for Christmas 2013.

Vtech Innotab 2 Baby is the first Learning App tablet to be designed with babies in mind and is designed to grow with them up to age 9.  The kind people over at Vtech asked UnderTheChristmasTree to share our thoughts about it.

First off when the tablet arrived we could hardly believe how age appropriate it was as design and style really was aimed at babies and young children. The tablet came in the bright blue Vtech box and showed off the product and what exciting features were also included.

Once Holly took it out of the packaging and popped in four AA batteries (which are not included) she was greeted with a happy tune and a ‘Hi and Welcome’ message. Already pre-loaded with learning games, songs and even baby’s first e-reader even Holly, who is 27, had plenty to keep her content.

The Vtech baby features a large 5 inch colour touch screen so little fingers can easily choose what they want to play – we recommend the Art Studio it’s fun and mess-free, by using the chunky stylus pen or their fingers. Just like it’s older sibling the Vtech Innotab 2 Baby has loads of apps for your growing baby to keep them entertained and learning.

A rotating digital camera and video recorder are also part of the new tablet and we were pleased to see that the pictures are of a pretty good quality (we snapped away all day) which means no more stealing the parents camera. Your baby will love the 16 built in apps already installed on the device and it also has 12 popular nursery rhymes included so they can sing along to songs they will already know – we couldn’t help but go through and sing most of them!

As we all know little hands mean sticky fingers and a lot of wear and tear however, a protective yellow gel skin casing has been added making it robust and durable we should know as Holly did manage to knock it off the unit but not even a scratch was made.

As with other VTech tablets parents can log into the Learning Lodge where they will discover hundreds of downloads, eBooks, games music and videos that children can download however their is no Wi-Fi but you can easily connect via the USB port.

Overall their is little doubt in our mind that this will be one of this years must have toys for Christmas and you will find it difficult to prize this out of young or old hands – Holly still has this!

Congratulations to Vtech for making it onto our Official YouTube Channel. Here is Holly demonstrating the kids tablet:

Vtech truly have manage to capture everything a baby could need or want from their very own little tablet – Parent’s you can now take back you iPads!
