Top UK retailer Argos today released it’s predicted list of top 10 toys for Christmas 2013 with interactive toys including a new Furby and Teksta Dog dominating top spots.
This year’s products which have been selected by the retailer show just how much children are now expecting toys to be more interactive and digitally-led.
Argos’s top 10 toys are as follows:
- Furby Boom
- Teksta Dog
- VTech Disney Planes Dusty Learn and Go – £20.99
- Disney’s First Talking Sofia Doll – £44.99
- Sesame Street’s Elmo Big Hugs – £69.99
- Flying Fairy by Flutterbye
- LeapFrog LeapPad Ultra
- VTech Innotab 3
- Lego’s Star Wars R2D2
- Lego Friends Dolphin Cruiser – £59.99
- Nerf Rapid Elite –
- Monopoly Empire – £19.99
Disney Dusty is a remote control plane from the new Planes film, the toy can fly around the room with you using the two controllers provided.
Furby Boom (official name not yet confirmed) will be more interactive, kids will be able to teach furby new commands while Teska Dog the robotic pet will respond to both touch and voice.
More interactive toys include the talking Sofia doll who when activated will speak. Nee Elmo big hugs will ask for big cuddles and sing lullabies for bedtime.
Flutterbye’s Flying Fairy is likely to be one of this years hot toys as the fairy can glide through the air once it senses the child hand movements.
Children’s tablets once again will be topping every child’s list to Santa with both Vtech Innotab 3 and LeapPad Ultra having more more interactive features.
Traditional toys have also made Argos top toys for christmas list and once again family favourites such as Monopoly have release a new game called Monopoly Empire.
However we were surprised to see that not many board games made the list and we did think the Monsters University Sulley Monster Mask may have popper up.
