When is Fathers Day 2018?

Sunday the 17^th June, 2018 is Fathers Day in the UK and the elves are getting ready!

This is the day when we remember and thank our fathers and father figures for all they have done for us throughout our lives.

Initially created to compliment Mothers Day, Fathers Day is held each year on the third Sunday in June. This is the time for us to make a special effort for our father, grandfather, father-in-law or someone who holds a special place in our life.

In the run up to Father’s Day many schools help their pupils make a special card or gift that they can give.  These gifts are often drawings or calendars which are made by the children and are much appreciated by the recipient.

On this special day many families give gifts to their father/father figure and get all the family around to enjoy a special dinner together. So show him how much you care by preparing his favourite meal as a special treat for Father’s day.
