Will a spoonful of sugar help the tax on sugary drinks, announced by Chancellor George Osborne at his budget speech yesterday, go down?

As he unveiled his plans for a 24p -a litre tax on drinks that contain the highest levels of sugar we ask will he add an extra tax onto our Christmas selection boxes too?

Will the 2016 budget be remembered as the moment when sugar joined smoking and drinking as a tax target?
