Light a new candle each day to countdown to Christmas day with Yankee Candle’s beautiful advent calendar book. We were kindly sent this to review, here’s what Elaine from our team thought.
Elaine said: “I absolutely love Yankee Candle and love trying out new scents of their candles so when the Yankee Candle Christmas Advent Calendar Book arrived I jumped at the chance to review it. Firstly I loved the design, it has a blue cover that had a berry, mistletoe and snowflake design and was held closed by a beautiful gold bow. I really didn’t want to open the bow but if I wanted to see inside, I had to but this was easy to close back up as there is a hook on the side so I didn’t have to undo the bow. Inside I found another lovely design, this tike it was Christmas tree branches with festive baubles hanging off them and 24 doors, each of which were numbered.

I pressed in a few of these, I won’t name everything that was inside as I don’t want to ruin the surprise so I will just name a few. I simply pressed in the door and this revealed a beautiful Votive Candle called Christmas Magic, it was a lovely scent, not overpowering or strong and was lovely to burn throughout. Behind the next door was Tree Farm Festival, this candle had a lovely pine, fresh smell to it and finally, I opened up another door to reveal Christmas Eve and I have to say I think this is my new favourite. It was warm and smelled of plum and fruits and it just made my room feel oh so Christmasey.
There are other candles, votives and even gold and silver decorative glass Votive Holder included so you can light a different candle or votive each day. When I was finished I simply closed up the Yankee Candle Christmas Advent Calendar Book and put the bow back on the hook.
Overall I loved the new advent book, the design is modern yet has a festive look, the candles and votives are just so lovely, I can’t wait to light each one of these throughout December!”
