10 Easy Steps to Draw Santa Claus

Step 1

Draw a large circle for Santa’s head at the top of your paper, don’t worry if it’s a bit wonky, that’s the fun!

Step 2

Draw Santa’s ears by adding two smaller half-circles on either side of the head circle.

Step 3

Draw Santa’s facial features – bushy eyebrows as bushy as you want, two oval eyes with dots for highlights, a round nose, and a curved smiling mouth, no one wants an angry Santa.

Step 4

Now onto one of Santa’s main focal points – his hat of course! Draw Santa’s hat above the head circle, starting with a band and then adding a curved top.

Step 5

Draw Santa’s beard by adding zig-zag lines around the bottom of the face or if you want to be more creative, get some glue and cotton wool and start sticking!

Step 6

Draw Santa’s body by adding a large oval below the head for his belly.

Step 7

Add two oval shapes on either side of the body for Santa’s arms, with cuffs at the ends.

Step 8

Draw Santa’s coat by adding curved lines below the arms, meeting at his belt line.

Step 9

Draw Santa’s legs as two more ovals below the coat, with boots at the bottom.

Step 10

It’s time to colour your drawing of Santa in his traditional red suit with white trim or if you want to make him a little more funky why not do multi-colours and have a bucket load of fun.
