Christmas Gift Review 2019: Nextbase Dash Cam 322GW

The Nexbase Dashcam 322GW is the world’s first cam with Emergency SOS, has a 140 viewing angle and 1080 HP resolution. We were kindly sent this to review, here’s what John from our team thought.

John said: “I have used a Nextbase dash cam before and I loved it so I was really looking forward to trying this new version. The dash cam itself is really quite small and doesn’t take up much space in my car. To set up I simply put the included 32GB microSD card into the slot at the side, removed the cover and placed the route cable before connecting the power.

After that, I attached the included mount and positioned the camera so I could clearly see any traffic. I then attached the mount to the windscreen and again, checked it was in the correct position. At this point I followed the on-screen instructions including setting the language, time & date & pairing the dash cam to the app on my phone and I was good to go.

The screen has a very clear picture and with the 140 degree viewing angle, picked up all of the traffic clearly. The Nextbase Dashcam 322GW has a brand new feature which alerts Emergency Services if there has been an accident and the driver is unresponsive, I had to download the app and subscribed to the MyNextbase Connect App which is free for 12 months, I absolutely love this feature as it give peace of mind knowing that if there is an accident, the emergency services can easily detect where you are. Fortunately I’ve not had to use this feature yet but it is good to know it’s there if ever it was needed.

Next up I gave the AutoSync a try, this allowed me to easily share videos from the Dash Cam to my phone. I could easily view the videos and download & zoom in which is great if I’m trying to take a look at a number plate. It also meant that I could quickly share footage to my insurer if ever I needed to. I would also like to note that the footage was very clear and I could easily see all of the traffic in the dash cam videos.

Overall I was impressed with the quality and loved the brand new Emergency Response feature and gave me peace of mind knowing that if ever I needed it, I had proof for my insurers if there was ever any issue, brilliant dash cam!”
