Worzel Gummidge set to return this Christmas?

Get ready for a new adventure!  Worzel Gummidge, our loveable scarecrow, is to feature Harry Potter’s Shirley Henderson as Saucy Nancy later his year and what’s even more exciting is – it could be on the Beeb’s festive line up this Christmas!

This time around Worzel, Susan and John go to visit a scrapyard and while there Worzel hears an old friend talking – Saucy Nancy, the ship’s figurehead who can’t wait to get back to the sea.  Can Worzel and the kids help her? Nancy is pretty sure they can!

The gang, Nancy, Susan, John & Worzel set out on their great adventure as they attempt to negotiate their way to the coast by bus, wheelbarrow, motorbike and sidecar, but as always not everything goes to plan.

Will Worzel and the rest of the crew go ahead with their plans?  We just can’t wait to find out! Last year the BBC announced a two-part adaption of Worzel Gummidge.
