Channel 4 has confirmed that Sarah Beeny’s New Life in the Country will return for a third season and a festive edition of the show.
Sarah Beeny’s New Life in the Country follows the property expert and her family as they swap London life for a new start on a 220-acre, semi-derelict former dairy farm in Somerset, where they are building a modern stately home.
Sarah Beeny says: “We are really excited to be working with Outline Productions on this new series. It’s a fantastic opportunity to share experience and follow creative, entrepreneurial and ultimately, inspiring countryside stories.”
Kate Thomas says: ‘’Following on from the significant ratings success of the primetime show over two seasons, I am delighted to now be taking this brand into Channel 4’s daytime schedule, and I am confident that we will have another hit show on our hands.’’
The show has been one of Channel 4’s best performing factual brands over its first two seasons, with an average of just under 2 million viewers. This is not the first Christmas special to be confirmed, BBC has announced Call The Midwife, Death In Paradise will return with festive editions of the show, alongside ITV’s Doc Martin.
