Christmas Review 2017 – Electronic Tipping Point Game

We were delighted when we were sent a copy of Tipping Point, one of our favourite TV shows and couldn’t wait to get it out of the box.

Tipping Point

Inside the box we found:

  • the electronic tipping point machine, which is quite small and requires 2xAA batteries (not included)
  • 80 Blue & 30 Red Question Cards
  • 80 Tokens (including team colour, jackpot and forfeit tokens)
  • Grey Tipping Point instruction leaflet

Suitable for ages 10 and over, possibly because of the general knowledge that younger children might struggle to know, questions such as which newspaper was first in the UK to publish Sudoku puzzles?  I have to say I had absolutely no idea; however the answer on the card was The Times!

The game is based on the really popular TV game show hosted by Ben Shepherd and we feel that it represents the TV program really well. Guaranteed to get your brain working, Tipping Point is a game that everyone will enjoy and by correctly answering the questions players win tokens to drop into the machine.

Which of the four drop zones will give you the biggest pay out? Drop your token into the machine as it slides back and forth and watch to see if it starts a chain reaction.

Which of your teams will collect the most tokens and go forward to the final jackpot round? Available from Argos, and other UK companies priced around £14.99; this would make a great Christmas gift that all the family could enjoy.

We had great fun playing Tipping Point; it does get your brain working, stays fairly true to the TV game show and gave us hours of fun.
