Winterwatch returns to BBC Two this January

Oh the weather outside is frightful and broadcasting live from its new location in the wildest part of the UK, the Cairngorms National Park, Winterwatch is back on BBC Two for 2019.

What wildlife will we spot this year?

Presenters Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan and Gillian Burke will be kicking off this years Winterwatch straight from its new locations at the Cairngorms National Park. The trio will be joined by Naturalist and presenter Iolo Williams as they take a look at how the local wildlife adapts through this toughest season.

Throughout the year “The Watchers” will come back to the Cairngorms to cover the changing seasons in Springwatch and Autumnwatch and learn all about the area like never before.

Fancy getting involved? This year “The Watchers” are to launch their biggest ever citizen science project – a year of action where viewers of the programme will be tasked with helping our conservation partners build the most comprehensive record of the nation’s wildlife ever assembled in a year.

There will be four live episodes in total:

  • Tuesday 29 January – 8pm-9pm
  • Wednesday 30 January – 9pm-10pm
  • Thursday 31 January – 8pm-9pm
  • Friday 1 February – 8pm-9pm

We’ve got our binoculars out.
