Could John Lewis and Waitrose ‘Super-Bear’ be in this years Christmas advert?

John Lewis and Waitrose call on the children of Britain to help create a ‘Super-Bear’ soft toy, which will be sold at Christmas with all profits going to the NHS – could this also be one of the stars of the famous John Lewis Christmas Advert?…

#DesignYourSuperBear competition (launched Friday 24th April) gives children two weeks to submit their designs for toy ideas “that celebrates the spirit and fortitude of the fearless men and women working on the frontline during the Covid-19 crisis”

The winning design will then be turned into an exclusive real Christmas toy and sold by Waitrose and John Lewis from October.

Could the winning toy also be turned into an animated bear for its anticipated festive advert? We’d love to think so. As always slightly later in the year, we’ll share our predictions on what this year’s John Lewis Christmas advert will be, but we’re pretty sure it’ll certainly involve a loving thankful message to all frontline workers.

To enter, children (or adults on children’s behalf) must share their creations on social media using the hashtag #DesignYourSuperBear.
