⭐ Ingredients

For the Cake

250g unsalted butter, softened — shop butter
250g caster sugar
4 large eggs
250g self‑raising flour — self‑raising flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp milk

For the Icing & Decoration

500g white fondant icing — fondant icing
200g icing sugar — icing sugar
Edible glitter or shimmer dust
Mini fondant trees or snowflakes — cake decorations
Silver balls or sprinkles

🍰 Method

1. Preheat and prepare

Heat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan). Grease and line two round cake tins — non‑stick tins.

2. Mix the batter

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then fold in flour, vanilla, and milk until smooth.

3. Bake

Divide the mixture between tins and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and springy. Cool completely on a wire rack.

4. Assemble the layers

Spread buttercream or jam between layers, then cover the entire cake with a thin layer of icing sugar paste to smooth the surface.

5. Create the snow scene

Roll out fondant icing and drape it over the cake. Dust with edible glitter for a frosty effect. Add mini fondant trees, snowflakes, and silver sprinkles to complete the snowy look.
