Aldi’s Kevin the Carrot Home Alone Christmas Advert 2022

Aldi has unveiled its full Home Alone inspired 2022 Christmas advert and Kevin is back and he’s home alone until… an intruder arrives.

Last year, we saw Kevin take on another festive classic as Aldi launched ‘A Christmas Carrot’ by Charles Chickens and this year the UK retailer has tackled another iconic festive movie – Home Alone and we love it.

Even though we were “rooting” for him to make it, we last saw Kevin missing his flight to Paris with a panicked Katie screaming KEVIN! from her seat.

And now separated from his family, Kevin is spending Christmas Home Alone…

Paying homage to the 90s classic Christmas movie Home Alone, the one-minute and thirty-second advert narrated once again by Jim Broadbent begins with scenes of Kevin at home alone watching the big match on TV.

Kevin however often gets scared when he’s left all alone and begins to panic when he hears heavy footsteps of an unknown intruder on the roof a nod to when Kevin McCallister first hears Sticky Bandits – Marv and Harry trying to break in.

Although quaking in his roots, he had to make a stand and devises a plan to warn off the uninvited guest. From swinging on festive lights to blaring a party popper, he then has another bright idea which nearly leaves him as a roasted carrot.

Racing up the royal red carpeted staircase (exactly like the one from the movie) Kevin feels he’s been left exposed. Making a swift exit he accidentally becomes a snowman’s nose.

Left in danger Kevin the Carrot was delighted to see Santa had found him and even more joyous when Katie, Baby, Jasper and Chantenay race to his side and he no longer has to spend Christmas home alone.

“And it wouldn’t be the festive season without Kevin the Carrot on our TV screens, and this year’s Yuletide performance is sure to get the nation shouting ‘KEVIN!’ as we welcome him back for the seventh year.

Aldi’s festive Christmas ad will premiere at 20.30pm, Thursday 10th November on Channel 4 during the centre break of Aldi’s Next Big Thing.

We don’t know about you but we’ve screamed KEVIN! quite a few times after watching this.
