Most of us would admit to shopping to excess over the festive season and as a result many retailers have experienced a surge in sales over Christmas. Now, Amazon have revealed its Christmas Bestsellers from 2016 (and there’s a few in there that just might surprise you!)
Amazon have not only revealed their bestsellers by specified UK location, but have also revealed that a spike in sales indicated that Christmas shopping started on October 19th which is 43 days before the main event.
The question remains, what exactly were people buying over Christmas?

According to Amazon, their bestsellers in the run up to Xmas included:

- GHD IV Hair Stylers
- Amazon Echo Dot
- Now That’s What I Call Music 95
- Enid Blyton – Five On Brexit Island
- The Secret Life Of Pets
- Real Techniques Core Collection Kit
- Hasbro Speak Out
- Nuby Octopus Bath Toy
- The Funky Veg Kit
The retailer has also highlighted which products were most popular across specified areas of the UK. For example, the new Emeli Sande album was popular in Aberdeen, The Amazon Echo was popular in London and Finding Dory was popular in Swansea.
