Asda and Aldi are going head to head this Christmas as both UK supermarkets release their own Gingerbread Gin Liqueur with one costing £9 and the other £12 as it has edible glitter inside.
Let the gingerbread battle commence.
Britain has fallen back in love with Gin, it’s actually more popular than it’s been for over a decade and now both Aldi and Asda are releasing their very own gingerbread flavours and they sound gorgeous.
Aldi’s ‘The Infusionist small batch Gingerbread Gin Liqueur’ (£9.99 for 70cl) will be available in stores, and online from 1st October, and will have warming notes of ginger, cinnamon, vanilla and orange.
Whilst Asda has gone all out sparkle and glitter as its Extra Special version is a bright orange coloured gin with shimmering, pearlescent edible, yes EDIBLE, glitter!
Ed Sowerby, Spirits Product Manager at Asda, comments: “As the sun sets on summer, we’ve been looking for the perfect warming flavour for the cooler months, and think we’ve found it with the gorgeously glittery Extra Special Gingerbread Gin Liqueur.
The 50cl bottle will cost £12, that’s £3 dearer than Aldi’s, and is available in store now.
