Brits Favour Christmas Favourite Over Fancy Food Trends
Brits are turning their nose up on fancy food trends and are going back to the traditional roast dinner, which we would typically have over the Christmas period!

According to a poll by Hovis® Wholemeal almost 9 out of 10 of us say fad food trends have ‘gone too far’, such as charcoal in foods and bone broths.
Traditional meals including the classic roast dinner with all the trimmings – which we also have over Christmas time, the trusty lasagna and curry came out as favourite among Brits. Puddings such as apple pie and custard and chocolate pudding were the favourite desserts in the poll.
The poll even suggests that the way out food is served is also changing. When asked which food trends they disliked, over a third stated they hated the way their food was presented. Having food on items such as a slab of slate or in mini shopping trolleys topped the poll for being the most disliked.

Bringing the family together with foods over breakfast time, the survey found that over half opted for a full English breakfast, while a third preferred having a slice of buttered toast.
We don’t know about you but having a full fry up breakfast and a traditional roast dinner is some of our favourite dishes to have especially over Christmas time.
This survey was commissioned by Hovis® Wholemeal with among 2000 UK residents. Hovis® Wholemeal is available at all major retailers, RRP £1.00.
