Christmas Gift Review 2019: Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak by Wow! Stuff

The infamous Invisibility cloak was first mentioned in both the first book & movie – The Philosophers Stone, where Harry received it as a gift for Christmas. The Cloak then reappeared in the final installment of the Harry Potter series, where Harry used it to aid his defeat of the dark Lord (we must not say his name…)

The Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak by Wow! Stuff has an app which allows you to become invisible as you are able to film yourself vanishing from sight. You can even re-enact famous scenes from the movies and create magical images.

We sent fellow Wizard and self confessed Harry Potter obsessive colleague, Mandy, to test this out. Here’s what she had to say:

“First I’m a huge Harry Potter fan and I love the films and the books, so I couldn’t wait to try out the Invisibility Clock which, as we all know, was given to Harry from Dumbledore at Christmas in the very first book. Taking the cloak out of the box, I was impressed with just how lightweight it was and it looked like the one from the film.  A set of instruction cards are  included, these show how to set up the app and use the invisibility cloak. I went to the app store and downloaded the WOW Stuff! app and followed the instructions, it took me around a minute or two to set up the app and it was really easy to follow.

Next I placed my phone on a tripod and ‘set the scene’ and pressed the button on the screen which enabled Invisibility Mode. After I had done this I simply wrapped the cloak around me (off camera) and made sure it was the green side of the cloak that was visible and then set it in front of my phone and I was invisible! I couldn’t believe it, I could even take a picture or video so I could see it for myself.

There was also other options on the app including having snow footsteps just like I was in Hogsmeade myself!

Overall I absolutely loved the Invisibility Cloak by WOW Stuff! It was so much fun and really easy to set up, now I can go around Hogwarts without being seen, just like Harry!”
