Christmas Gift Review 2019: Olverum The Dry Body Oil

When it comes to Olverum, we’re no stranger to the brand, after their award winning bath oil has been featured on our website for the third year running. Now, a new oil has been released, the Dry Body Oil. We were very gratefully sent this and wanted to share our thoughts.

The new Olverum Dry Body Oil has a different formulation from the original Bath Oil, as it boasts skin loving ingredients. The oil is infused with Alaria esculenta extract, which is known to boost the synthesis of collagen and hyaluronic acid, preserving skin’s firmness and elasticity.

We asked Holly to test the Olverum Dry Body Oil and share her thoughts.

“I was a huge fan of the original Olverum Bath Oil, so when we were asked to try out the new Dry Body Oil, I was quick to volunteer.

This has a slightly different scent to the Bath Oil and despite the fact that this is a different formula, I still had the same high expectations of the product. This smells like Eucalyptus and is calming just smelling it in itself.

Unlike many oils, this has a spray on it, which finely mists over the area. Once applied, it sinks into the skin almost instantly, leaving no oily residue behind. As someone who dislikes feeling any sort of oil on my skin, this is a huge plus point. I can use it AM and PM without feeling clammy throughout the day or night.

It’s recommended that this is used in the morning and evening and a small amount goes a long way. I’ve been using this on my face, neck and dry areas on my body. I noticed within one day that the peeling from some sunburn I had, had virtually vanished.

Most importantly for me, this has added a ‘relaxing moment’ for me at bed time. I spray this into my hands and clasp them around my nose & mouth to inhale it. It truly is calming and makes me feel a bit like I’ve just come from a spa.

This, combined with the original Olverum Bath Oil is a winning combination for the ultimate pamper night!”
