Elaine said: “I’m always interested in trying new skincare products as my skin can sometimes be dry and also looked tired so I was excited to try each of the Algenist products. I will mention that the packaging is nice, I can easily see all four of the products and on the back, there was a breakdown as to what was included inside.

Feelunique, £90:

I tried each of these products and first up was the Algenist GENIUS Liquid Collagen, I liked the bottle and the liquid inside was a gold colour. To use it I simply pushed the dropper and allowed the dropper to fill up and it was ready to use. I’ve never really been a fan of strongly scented serums so I was please that the Liquid Collagen wasn’t too strong or overpowering. I used this on my face and neck and a little really did go along way. After just one use my skin appeared smoother, balanced and glowing, my skin felt so hydrated and my pores appeared reduced. The liquid didn’t lie heavy or feel like it was just sitting on my skin, I absolutely loved this product.

Next up was the Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm, this comes in a small white tub with a black lid. Inside the balm is a light cream colour and is very soft and velvety to touch, again a little went a long way and this balm was very gentle on around my eye area. It didn’t make my makeup run or cause any irritation what so ever and again the scent was not very strong so there was no need to worry about anything overpowering. After just a few days I could see a difference as any dark circles I had were beginning to fade and this balm did help to reduce some puffiness.

Algenist GENIUS Ultimate Anti-Aging Cream is now one of my favourite products to use. The cream itself is white in colour and it has a light, whipped feel to, it is quite thick and has a lovely smell. I put some of the cream on my skin and I have to say after just a few times using this, I could instantly see and feel the difference on my face, my skin felt hydrated and it definitely looked and felt firmer. It minimized fine lines and I honestly can’t believe the difference, I’m using less makeup to cover up dark circles, fine lines and my skin just feels so much better.

Finally, I tried the Algenist GENIUS Sleeping Collagen, I applied this just before I went to bed to my face, neck and avoiding my eye area. The Sleeping Collagen just melts into your skin and doesn’t feel greasy or oily. When I woke up in the morning, my skin felt hydrated and firmer and began reducing fine lines, my makeup went on much smoother and didn’t appear to cake or anything which is a big plus point for me.

Overall I was very impressed with the Algenist Secrets Of Algae Kit, each of the products targeted different areas of my skin and I could definitely notice a huge difference in terms of hydration, firmer and bouncier, I will be using all of these products again and again.”
