We were kindly sent this to review by Master of Malt however all thoughts are our own.
We asked Mandy from our team to review this advent calendar and Mandy said: “I love advent calendars, there’s nothing better than counting down the days in December until the big day, so I was really excited to give Vodka Explorer Advent Calendar a try and see what it was like.

Firstly I did like the packaging, it was very wintery/frosty looking and it looked very modern. On the front, there are 24 squares with a push point so that I could easily access whichever vodka was behind that door. This was easy to push in and not difficult to get the 30ml of wax-sealed vodka which was lurking inside. I was quite surprised when I started lifting out the vodka that it wasn’t in the brand’s original bottle but in a glass bottle with the same label on the front of them all, the only difference was the name and flavour of the vodka inside.

I really did like this as it added another layer of mystery having to remove it from the box before I could see which vodka it was. As I went through the advent calendar I was highly impressed with all the premium brands that were included, I will just mention a few as I don’t want to ruin the surprise of the whole advent calendar. The vodka included Cîroc Mango, Square One Basil Vodka, Beluga Noble Russian Vodka, Hepple Douglas Fir Vodka and Snow Leopard Vodka. After trying each of these my favourite had to be the Snow Leopard vodka, it was very smooth to drink and was enjoyable, although I will say that the Cîroc Mango was a very close second.

Overall I was impressed with the design, the amount of premium vodka included and the fact that I could try lots of different vodkas that if I’m honest I might not have tried but now I know what I like and I will definitely be buying a few full-size bottles of some of the vodka included in this Drinks by the Dram advent calendar.”
