For most men come Christmas, shavers, groomers and clippers always top the list so when Braun kindly sent us its new Braun BGK7050 Body Grooming Kit and Hair Clipper for review we asked John to let us know what he thought.
Once upon a time any man who took care of his body hair was looked at as vain. Thankfully all that has changed and now most men groom their body hair, I know most Christmas’s I always ask for a new trimmer and Braun’s BGK7050 Body Grooming Kit looks set to do what a razor cannot.

Arriving packaged in a strong, black box which nicely shows of the white shaver inside, I was pleased to see all I needed to know was on the front of the box. The 3 in 1 tool, which can be used to epilate, trim and shave comes with 4 attachments, (efficiency cap, sensitive cap, shaver head and trimmer cap), which provides all round body grooming and a smooth shave.
Ideal for keeping body hair neatly groomed, I was a bit skeptical, (OK scared, it does have forty tweezers!) about using the epilator, however, there was no need to panic, the pivoting head ensured no cuts and thanks to the smartlight no hairs were missed plus after using for a few minutes you’ll find it’s not very painful.

Perfect for using in the shower, the groomer is 100% waterproof, I really liked the fact that it was so easy to clean using just running water as it makes it handy to take away with you especially as it comes with its own travel bag.
After putting the Braun Grooming Kit through it’s paces I was surprised to see that there was still power left in the battery, you get around 40 minutes of use after an hour’s charge. After my initial fears about using the epilator I have to say I really like this Braun groomer and will definitely use it often.
Having just removed my body hair it was now time to get a haircut and fortunately Braun had sent over its latest battery operated hair clipper, here is what I thought below.

Just like the grooming tool, the Braun hair clipper HC5010 arrived nicely packaged and ready to go straight out of the packaging. Simple to use and with two trimming attachments it allows me to create a much needed new style.
Inside the box I found the hair clipper (which has a choice of 9 length settings), an adjustable guiding comb which helped me get the style I wanted, appliance oil, cleaning brush and a smart plug.
I liked the fact that the rechargeable batteries are included, a full recharge takes around 8 hours (the LED charging light lets me know when it’s done ), which gives me around 50 minutes of trimming – enough time for me to customize my look, however should it take longer than expected I’d get non-stop running by leaving the cord in.

I liked the hair clipper and the fact that it’s both cordless and rechargeable is a big plus, it’s also really easy to clean using running water. I feel that is an efficient and easy to use tool that I’d be more than happy to use regularly and it would make a great Christmas gift.
