Everyone’s favourite bakery, Gregg’s, has today announced what will be in it’s Christmas menu this year launching in stores on November 9th!
So what can we expect from the new menu? In terms of savoury there will be a Christmas Lunch Sandwich which will have turkey, pork, onion & sage stuffing, bacon, cranberry & port sauce, spinach leaves and mayonnaise on malted bread. There will also be Christmas Lunch Toasties which will have Sliced turkey with pork, onion & sage stuffing, smoky sweetcure bacon, cranberry & port sauce in white bread topped with béchamel sauce, grated edam and mature Cheddar cheese, both of these cost £3.00 each.
Back again this year is the Festive Bake which will have chicken, sage & onion stuffing and bacon in a creamy sage and cranberry sauce. All encased in a golden puff pasty with a crunchy crumb topping and will cost £1.50 each.
Finishing off the savoury festive range will be a Turkey, Bacon and Cranberry Roll and Christmas Lunch Soup.
What sweet treats can we expect from Gregg’s this year? A Christmas Pudding biscuit costing 85p, a Gingerbread muffin which will have a vanilla creme centre costing £1.00 and a Christmas Tree Biscuit which will taste of ginger and be covered in chocolate and decorated with sugar sprinkles and a sugar paste star costing 85p.
Also in the line up is Christmas Ring Buns each with tasty vanilla flavoured fairy buns which have been decorated with fondant and finished with sugar sprinkles and a festive novelty plastic ring costing 80p each of £2.75 for 1 pack.
