It’s a Christmas tradition that we wait with bated breath for, the arrival of the flaming Christmas pudding. You may be surprised to learn that this much loved festive desert is NOT at the top of the nation’s favourite traditional British pudding list.
According to a poll by OLIVE MAGAZINE, which had over 1,440 respondents, surprisingly Apple Crumble was named the nations favourite pudding with Sticky Toffee Pudding and Bread & Butter pudding not far behind. Christmas pudding and Banoffee Pie shared the second most disliked pudding spot ahead of Tapioca (did you, like us, call it Frogs Eggs when you were at school?)
We absolutely love Christmas Pudding here at UTCT HQ! We’d unsurprisingly put it at the top of our Christmas desert list, with a classic trifle a close second.
Where would you put Christmas Pudding in your favourite British desert list?
