Jenny Eclair reveals she never bought a cooker for years until she decided to host her entire family for Christmas lunch.
The comedian revealed this shocking confession in a Channel 4 interview.
Did your first attempt at cooking Christmas day dinner go spectacularly wrong? well don’t stress, as you’ll be relieved to hear that it wasn’t all hunky-dory for Jenny Eclaire either, in fact, the comedian only bought a cooker when she had to cook the feast for her family.
Yes, really! during an interview with Channel 4 about The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer, she said:
“It was only when I decided to host my entire family for Christmas lunch that I got a cooker, when I realised you couldn’t microwave a turkey.
She also went on to say: “It was edible, it was all right, but my brother is a good cook, and he came around and took over.”
