Move over Panettone and make way for Ginettone

That’s right, Ginettone is going to be one of this years must have indulgent treats.

So what is Ginettone?

Ginettone is a limited edition infused Panettone by Gin Mare and Theo Randall. Using distinctive savoury botanicals that Gin Mare is well known for, as a base such as rosemary, thyme and basil which compliments the sweetness of the bread with a hint of saltiness which comes from Spanish-sourced Arbequina olives.

Randall comments:“Gin Mare has all of these wonderful savoury flavours and unique botanicals that aren’t found in other gins, so it lends itself perfectly to working with food. Sticking to tradition, we have kept the bread itself sweet, but balanced this with Gin Mare’s distinctive herbaceous and citrus notes for a panettone that is most definitely unlike anything you will have tasted before!”.

Ginettone will be available from Harvey Nichols from October, both online and in eight stores nation wide, retailing at £22 for 500g. There are a limited number of Ginettone being made available, with just 500 being sold, however if you want to visit Theo Randall’s Intercontinental Park Lane throughout December you can get a slice of the Ginettone and pair it with a Gin Mare cocktail.
