NHS Christmas Choir To Hit Hollywood!

You may remember the NHS Choir from Christmas when they beat Justin Bieber (with his blessings!) to the number one spot in the top 40. Now, the choir have been signed a film deal to tell their story.

The angelic “A Bridge Over You” was sang and released by the Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir over Christmas with hopes of reaching the number 1 slot in the much sought after Christmas UK top 40.

Canadian singer, Justin Bieber, also had a song released at the same time which had already reached number 1 in the previous weeks. After learning about the NHS Choir, Bieber encouraged his 80.9 million subscribers on Twitter to buy the NHS Choir single rather than his own.

Speaking of the deal, Caroline Smith from the choir said: “The world will now get to see our incredible story. People will see the massive power achieved when everyone comes together.”

The story is being made into a film, by producer Julia Verdin.

Royalties from the film will be paid to the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and will be used to provide services that “enhance patient experience or staff working lives”.

Ah! We do like a happy ending! Will you be watching the new movie once released? Comment below or use the social icons to get in touch!
