With Christmas creeping ever closer, we were over the moon when we took our first peek at Playmobil’s latest addition. Elaine from the team reviewed this and said: I was far from being disappointed when I removed the packaging and discovered the Playmobil Christmas 9493 bakery with cookie cutters which is suitable for children ages 4 to 10 years.

The set was simple and easy to put together the Christmas bakery, which is made from plastic, is ideal for interactive play and once put together it measures 10.2 x 15 x 10.2 inches. Priced at a reasonable £39.99, I was quite happy that the bakery wasn’t massive in size once assembled as it made it easier to display.

However size didn’t seem to matter when a few friends and their little helpers descended to make their own delicious cookies. Putting all of the characters and the bakery together was great fun and everyone had laughter as they cut out the cookies using the cookie cutters provided. Inside the bakery was a cookie Workshop, rolling pin and cookie cutters and they found the oven large enough for their Christmas cookies. Once they were cooked the cookies were sent down the chute and put into the basket.

Bright and colourful the set includes Santa, snow for the roof, two elves, cookie cutters, cookie stamps for decorating the bakery, ladder, mailbox, work table, baked goods, recipe book, baking ingredients, oven spatula, cat, and other fun accessories which will help with dexterity and creativity.

Overall I loved just how festive the Playmobil set was and all of the detail. I can see how this would really get kids imaginations working.”
