Each year Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh keep their Christmas decorations up until 6th February – six weeks after Christmas Day.
Why? The 6th February 1952 has a special meaning for the Queen as this is the date that the Queen’s father, King George VI, passed away and all the decorations at the Sandringham estate are kept up every year in his honour.
