From the makers of Sherlock and Dracula, The Tail of the Curious Mouse is set to melt Roald Dahl and Beatrix Potter fans hearts this Christmas.
Starring as one of the world’s greatest literary legends, Dawn French will take on the role of Beatrix Potter as she comes to the end of her career. With Dahl aged only six and recently lost his father and sister, the meeting of the two was to have an enormous impact on the lives of both writers. Watch the trailer below:
Filming begun (Monday 24th August) for the special and new details including the full cast line-up has now been announced.
Joining Dawn French (Vicar of Dibley) who plays Beatrix, the cast will include Jessica Hynes (W1A), Rob Brydon (The Trip), Alison Steadman (Gavin and Stacey), Nina Sosanya (Brave New World), Bill Bailey (In The Long Run) and Nick Mohammed (Intelligence).
The magical story will see the all-star cast showing what really can happen when you are brave enough to follow your dreams.
