A new survey has named Brussel Sprouts as the nation’s favourite vegetable for Christmas dinner.

Matalan surveyed over 2,000 Brits to find out what we would be eating over the festive period and according to their findings, the often-hated sprout is the most popular veg from last year and the 5th most popular trimming overall.
Roast potatoes were the nation’s favourite Christmas trimming, followed by gravy, stuffing and pigs in blankets all making the top 5 alongside Brussel Sprouts. In last place was Ketchup and others at the bottom were Horseradish Sauce, Mustard, Apple Sauce and Boiled Potatoes.
Turkey is the most popular meat, followed by roast beef, Vegetarian and vegan options were also a popular choice with Brits.
Christmas dinner wouldn’t be the same without a few sprouts! A survey last year found that Roast Potatoes are the nation’s favourite part of Christmas dinner – we do love a tasty roast potato!
