Aldi has revealed its 2020 Christmas food range, from Vegan party food to showstopping centrepieces and incredible desserts, you’re going to want to eat it all…

Aldi has gone all out this year with its festive food selection, there’s already so much we want right now. The budget supermarket has added a selection of brand new and innovative additions which you’ll want in your trolley long before the holiday season even begins.
Here we’ve picked just some of our highlights below.
PARTY
Let’s get the party started, as Aldi has gone big on canapés this year, your guests can enjoy a host of delightful nibbles including, Belgian Christmas Pate Sharing Platter, Specially Selected Stuffed Ham Joints and Vegan Cocktail Sausages.
Also on the menu, we particularly liked the look of Vegan Specially Selected Thai Roses, yeah we’re definitely be going back for seconds or even thirds.
MAINS & SIDES
Start by tucking into Aldi’s NEW Seafood selection, choose from an array of dishes including Specially Selected Salmon Eggs Royale Kit and Specially Selected Whole Stuffed Sea Bass.
When it comes to the main course, Aldi has ensured there are plenty of options for everyone. From traditional Specially Selected Exquisite Hand Finished Dry Hung, Free Range Bronze Turkey, a Specially Selected Multi Bird Roast to a 30 Day Aged Sirloin Joint.
For vegans and vegetarians, the UK supermarket will (like Asda) also launch its Plant Menu Vegan Turkey with cranberry, red pepper, apricot and pumpkin seed stuffing coated in a barbecue flavour glaze – yum!
Last year Aldi nailed Christmas dinner with the launch of its GIANT pig in blanket, so how could they possibly top that? easy! for 2020 not only is the 2-metre Pig in Blanket back but it’s been joined by SIX new additions including Loaded Pigs In Blanket, Specially Selected Three Giant Pigs In Blanket and Plant Menu Vegan Pigs In Blankets, our tummies are going to be packed this year.
DESSERTS
We don’t know about you but for us, the MAIN event has to be dessert, it doesn’t matter how full you are there’s always room for pud! This Christmas you’ll fall in love with the Specially Selected Chocolate Orange Vegan Melt in the Middle Pudding and if that doesn’t tickle your tastebuds then the Specially Selected Geometric Domes certainly will. Choose from Black forest and Lemon and Berry both have a Belgian chocolate shell filled with gooey goodness in the middle.
If you’re looking for even more indulgence, then its Specially Selected Sticky Toffee Bowl Dessert or Specially Selected Trifle’s (choose from Sherry Trifle and new for 2020, the Ultimate Strawberry and Raspberry Trifle) are sure to hit the spot.
CAKES, PIES & CONFECTIONARY
There’s everything you need to make your Christmas one of the tastiest yet with Aldi’s range of treats. If you’re a mince pie connoisseur then the Specially Selected Exquisite Mini Mince Pies are a perfect choice, from Sweet brandy to Amaretto you’ll be hard to pick just one. Other highlights include Salted Caramel and Blood Orange Crumble mince pies.
Gin infused products are back including the NEW Damson Plum & Pink Gin Pudding which will go on sale from November 1st.
Both children and adults will have uber amounts of fun with the Dairyfine Hot Chocolate Melting Snowman drink which once melted will reveal marshmallows and chocolate drops hidden in his tummy.
A luxurious 30 Month Matured Christmas Pudding and Millionaires Pudding will both make a stunning festive centrepiece and will surely WOW your friends and family.
CHEESEBOARD
Variety and flavour all make a successful cheese board and this holiday season Aldi has added new curated artisan cheeses including a smooth, rich Stratford Blue Cheese and a Smoked Farmhouse Red Leicester all which will be on sale from 10th December.
Enjoy the best of British with Aldi’s selection of homegrown cheeses, choose from Inglewhite Goats Cheese, Burland Bloom, Stratford Blue and Gould’s Farmhouse Cheddar.
DRINKS
When Christmas comes around, you can celebrate the occasion by choosing any of Aldi’s award-winning wines and spirits. New for 2020 is Haysmith’s Blood Orange and Peach Gin which will go down well for gin enthusiasts and for wine lovers the Specially Selected French Macon Villages, 75cl the delicious classic Chardonnay is a perfect all-rounder.
For us, the highlight has to be the Infusionist Millionaires Shortbread Gin Liqueur, yes shortbread flavour! a dessert lover’s dream this really will be the ultimate sweet treat to wash down the dozen mince pies you’ve just eaten.
