BBC announces star-studded line-up for this years 3 part adaption of A Christmas Carol including Line of Duty’s Stephen Graham and Andy Serkis.
There’s nothing Bah-HumBug about this!
Described as “a haunting, hallucinatory and spine-tingling” three part series, written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, will see Guy Pearce take on the main role as the old miser Ebenezer Scrooge and Line of Duty’s Stephen Graham as Jacob Marley.
OK already we’re overly excited and if this wasn’t enough, the BBC One series will also star a bucket load of well known names including: Lord of the Rings Andy Serkis as Ghost of Christmas Past and Charlotte Riley (Peaky Blinders) as Lottie.
Steven Knight says: “This production of A Christmas Carol will respectfully present what we believe to be a timely interpretation of a timeless story.”
As we previously mentioned a few months ago Tom Hardy is also on board as an executive producer, and it has already been revealed that he will play an undisclosed yet ‘pivotal’ role too.
It will be produced by FX Productions, Scott Free, Hardy Son & Baker for BBC One.
A Christmas Carol will air on BBC1 in the UK and FX in the US this Christmas
