Tesco Finest The Trilogy Malbec 75Cl: SHOP: £10

This lovely red wine is dark violet in colour and has dark fruit with vanilla.
Katy said: “I do enjoy red wine and this Malbec did not disappoint. This wine really is quite dark when it is poured and I could taste notes of plum, dark fruits, vanilla but this was all balanced up with black pepper to give a nice balance, this would be ideal with cheese and biscuits.”
Domaine de la Mandelière Robert Nicolle 2019: SHOP: £16.99
Crisp, fresh and appley, this Chablis would be the perfect after-dinner wine.
Mandy said: “When I first opened up this Chablis white wine, I could instantly smell the apple and citrus and I was looking forward to trying this. I poured a glass and tried it before I had eaten anything and it was delicious, it was easy to drink and had a fresh, crispness to it, I think this would be the perfect after-dinner drink as it was quite light as well.”
Negroamaro Sea Change: SHOP: £9.99

Bursting with red fruit, this medium-bodied red wine is perfect with any dish.
Elaine said: “Now this is one tasty red wine, I could taste the red fruit such as cherry and plum and it was very smooth to drink and quite light. The tannins are soft and leave a very nice after taste and I would pair this with any meat dish or even with some cheese and biscuits.”
Tesco Finest Provence Rose 75Cl: SHOP: £9

This elegent Rose has delicious stone fruit flavours with fresh strawberries.
Elaine said: “I do enjoy a little rose wine every so often but I don’t like the ones that are too sweet and this Rose did not disappoint. It was fairly light in colour and I could instantly taste the stone fruit flavours such as peach, this added in with the strawberry and red currants gave a crisp and refreshing glass of wine.”
Aldi Caves Road Chardonnay, 75cl: SHOP: £8.59
This beautiful Chardonnay has notes of citrus, vanilla, pear and green apple which gives this a nice balance.
Katy said: “I do like a glass of Chardonnay and I thought this Cabes Road Chardonnay was the perfect choice to go with my vegetarian parcel, this wine is quite dry and I could taste the apple and vanilla which gave a nice, crisp taste with a little sweetness.”
Marks And Spencer Macon Villages Chardonnay: SHOP: £9
This Chardonnay is a beautifully balanced white wine with scents of apple and lemon.
John said: “Chardonnay is my go-to when I’m having a glass of wine and this was delicious to have. I could taste the apple and lemon but this was balanced up by hints of peach which meant this was not overly-sour. I would have this with some tasty pasta or even with some smoked salmon.”
Tesco Finest Chablis 75Cl: SHOP: £12
This 12.5% white French wine has delicate notes of apple and citrus.
Mandy said: “White wine is my prefered type of wine and this Chablis was lovely to drink. It was crisp and quite refreshing, I could taste notes of apple and the citrus but it was not very sour to drink. This would be perfect with turkey or a vegan roast and I would have this again.”
Sainsbury’s Saint Chinian, Taste the Difference 75cl: SHOP: £8
This smooth red wine is packed full of intense red berry flavours.
Katy said: I really enjoyed this Taste The Difference red wine, it was full-bodied and was smooth to drink. I tasted red fruit flavours such as raspberry and blackberry and it had a nice spice to it too which made this red wine very easy to drink.”
Marks And Spencer Lomas Del Marques Classics Rioja Reserva: SHOP: £9
Smooth and refined with flavours of berries, woody spice and aged for 24 months in oak barrels.
Mandy said: “I do enjoy a glass of red wine, especially with a vegetarian roast and I have to say this Rioja was very tasty. I could taste the vanilla that comes from being in the oak barrel for 24 months and had hints of cedar through it. It is a well-bodied red wine and would not only be nice on Christmas day but is drinkable anytime.”
Sainsbury’s Vinedos Barrihuelo Rioja Crianza, Taste the Difference 75cl: SHOP: £6.50
An elegant red wine with spices and black fruit flavours.
John said: “When I first tasted this red wine I could instantly taste the black fruit flavours such as blackberries but there was also hints of spice throughout and a nice oaky finish – lovely wine.”
McGuigan alcohol-free Sauvignon Blanc: SHOP: £4.50
This alcohol-free Sauvignon Blanc has aromas of gooseberry and citrus.
Katy said: “There’s been a few times where I have had an alcohol-free wine and they have been a little too sweet but this one was lovely. I could taste the gooseberry and with the citrus such as apple, it gave a nice, balanced drink and it had a crisp, refreshing taste and feel to it. I would have this with a soup starter and it would be lovely with a fish dish.”
Château Les Grands Maréchaux 2016 SHOP: £16.49
Dark fruits with hints of fig give this full-bodied red wine a smooth and creamy taste.
Elaine said: “I do enjoy a glass of red wine and this did not disappoint. From the moment I opened this, I could smell the dark fruits but this was balanced with hints of oak throughout. I left the wine around an hour after I had opened to allow it to breathe and it really did taste very smooth, creamy and had a good depth to it”
