Selfridges unveils Christmas windows – ‘A Christmas for Modern Times’

Deck the halls, as Selfridges has become the first in the WORLD to unveil its Christmas window display for 2019 – think ‘A Modern Christmas’.

Get ready for ‘A Christmas for Modern Times’ as Selfridges have reveled its Christmas windows across all its stores including London, Birmingham, Manchester and online. Like last year this is the first in the word to showcase its windows.

With just two months until the big day, The theme, “A Christmas For Modern Times”, will portray that although times may be changing in unpredictable ways but Christmas remain the same.

‘Future Fantasy, a Christmas for Modern Times’ rethinks traditional, beloved festive stories and re-tells tales as old as time, essentially each window displays either a well-known fairy tale or features one particular iconic element from one of them, but re-imagined.

The London store display took a multi-specialist team over 500 hours to produce with over 100 people putting together the windows, working non-stop rotating shifts for 10 day.

A giant 1.5 tonne, 13 meter high mirrored Christmas tree hangs in the Oxford street store’s central atrium – it will come alive through a dazzling lighting show projected on its surface.

The Selfridges full Christmas shop in store and online is now live, where you’ll be able to purchase an array of baubles and decorations from this years theme.
