We were also kindly sent one of these hampers from Lakeland to review, here’s what Mandy from our team thought.

Mandy said: “I’m always looking for unqiue and different gifts for my family and friends, it can seem impossible sometimes as they have literally everything, so I was keen to take a look at the For the Love Of Honey Hamper Tote. First I will say I loved the tote bag that this hamper came in, it keeps all of the contents safe and secure and it also meant I had a reusable bag afterwards.

Inside there were 6 different honey based food items to try and one pack of Wildflower seeds. There is Blossom Honey, Honey Mustard, Honey & Oat Biscuits, Seville Orange Marmalade with Honey, BBQ Sauce with Honey, Milk Chocolate-Coated Honeycomb and as I mentioned earlier some Wildflower seeds.

Each of the condiments had in them a dash of honey so it added a slightly sweeter taste to them. The Blossom Honey and Honey mustard were delicious. The Blossom Honey is a smooth honey which was really nice to taste, it was really quite sweet and would be lovely to use in baking or to add into some porridge. I sometimes add mustard to cheese on toast or to a toastie to make it even cheesier but the mustard with the added honey really gave a different, sweeter taste which was absolutely delicious.

The BBQ Sauce with Honey had a little heat to it with the added honey gave a slightly sweet taste, this would be ideal over chicken, as a dipping sauce or over some Quorn fillets. I gave the Milk Chocolate-Coated Honeycomb a try and it was simply delicious, it was light, crunchy and covered in chocolate, what could be more perfect?

Honey & Oat Biscuits I really enjoyed, these were oh so tasty with some cheddar cheese and I even added on a very light layer of the Blossom Honey which just added a whole new level of enjoyment. Finally, the Seville Orange Marmalade with Honey was just like a classic orange marmalade but it had that sweet twist of honey, very tasty and fresh on toast or pancakes.

There are also Wildflower seeds to grow which will grow into pretty blooms and will help to attract bees to the garden and I can’t wait to see what they look like.

Overall I thought the For the Love of Honey hamper tote was just lovely and all of the fun condiments in the bag were delicious, perfect.”
