Aldi launches 2019 Christmas advert

Supermarket giant, Aldi has launched the start of its iconic Christmas adverts and we’ve got the full details here.

With the help of Tiny Tom – a little tomato, Kevin breaks free from the grasp of those pesky Leafy Blinders. Kevin then goes on the be the Greatest Showman and preforms a version of Robbie Williams’ Let Me Entertain You, although the lyrics have been changed.

He begins: “Sprouts are gone and Kevin’s here.

“Shower me with festive cheer. Bring those mince pies over here… with cream.”

As the performance carries on, his wife Kate and children Jasper, Baby Carrot and Chantenay all make a reappearance along with new characters including on of this years stars: Russell Sprout.

Throughout Aldi’s Christmas advert, we’re shown a host of festive delights you can tuck into from the store including mince pies.

The 70-second ad will be played tomorrow night (Thursday November 7) at 5.30pm on ITV.

As always with Aldi, we can expect a host of hilarious small ad’s running up to when the fully released advert will be available, so without further ado introducing, The Leafy Blinders, yes that’s right Aldi has spoofed the iconic Peaky Blinders.

The start of the advert shows a gang of Brussels sprouts dressed in the PB iconic flap cap, ready to take back Christmas from the ever so popular Kevin the Carrot, what will happen next?….

Last year’s advert saw a range of Aldi adverts including the introduction of new characters such as Pascal the Parsnip who has taken Katie and the kids hostage and it was up to Kevin to save the day! This followed on from Aldi’s spoof of the Coca Cola truck which was Kevin in trouble as the lorry hung over the edge of a roadside verge!
